Our visit to Babylon at The Roof Gardens

High above Kensington High Street lies Babylon at The Roof Gardens, the perfect place for a working lunch, delicious dinner, and stunning views.  One of the things I love about The Roof Gardens is that from the outside, it just looks like a normal building but once you enter and ascend to the next floor you are in a totally different world! It always smells gorgeous, is decorated with beautiful plants and flowers and just feels, luxury throughout. In the day the roof gardens is all business, with professional staff at the front desk to show you up to your reservation and someone on hand as soon as you sit down with wine recommendations. It’d be rude not to have a glass wouldn’t it?

So we were whisked up to the 7th floor to Babylon. When you walk in you are greeted by this perfectly lit, perfectly decorated and vastly stocked bar. It’s a great place to grab a quick drink whilst waiting for friends or to have a cocktail prior to your reservation.

For a change London was beautifully sunny so we had fantastic views from the 7th floor whilst dining and drinking that cheeky glass of White we mentioned earlier. The lunch menu is outstanding, there is so much choice, they even have a fresh fish cart outside on the balcony. Here are a few of the delights we sampled below,

On arrival we were presented with this Pea and Parmesan amuse bouche. Even the colour looks appealing doesn’t it? I’m sure they chose it fit in line with the decor.

This is the Summer Truffle Risotto, it was perfectly light, but not in anyway bland.

We also ordered the Moroccan styled Chicken with couscous. Another great choice for lunch, not too much, not at all messy, but extremely tasty.

This is the Salmon board as you can see you get a wide range of fresh salmon and ciabatta to go with it. We also ordered a Parmesan and Rocket side salad.

Unfortunately we didn’t have time for desert as we were running around as usual! So The Roof Gardens kindly gave us something sweet for the road. This is their “Bite Me” box, including dark chocolate truffle, mini meringue, turkish delight and a light sponge!

We send our clients to The Roof Gardens often and we have access to hire their Semi-private and Private dinning rooms as featured below. We also offer general restaurant reservations to our clients. Get in touch with your account manager to make a booking enquiry.
